You don’t have to be an excel wizard to track your net worth like a pro. We opened up Excel and did the heavy lifting for you with The Money Guy Net Worth Tool. Confidence in your financial journey is possible! This is a great first step to help you get there.
The Net Worth Tool is currently only compatible with recent versions of Microsoft Excel. For the best experience, we suggest using a recent version of Microsoft Excel on a Mac or PC.
If you don’t have Excel, you can still use the Net Worth Tool by accessing the free version of Microsoft Excel online. This free version of Excel is an in-browser experience similar to Google Sheets, and the Net Worth Tool looks and functions the same as with the desktop app.
To make the Net Worth Tool accessible to everyone, even those without significant experience using Excel, we locked certain parts of the tool to ensure it is impossible to “break” the functionality and appearance of the spreadsheet.
If for some reason your file became corrupted or is no longer functioning properly, you can always download a fresh copy at learn.moneyguy.com/login and copy your data over!
Starting at 2006 and ending at 2035 gives you up to 30 total years of net worth data to input into the Net Worth Tool. 2006 is a little bit of a special year for us, as it’s when Brian started the podcast and began tracking his own net worth.
Beyond 2035 is in development, and we hope to have an exciting new solution for future years!
